Dugout Decisions is a free, fan-made baseball strategy game. This page explains what information the game stores, why, and the choices you have. We keep it to the minimum needed to run the game.
If you play without an account
Your progress (Daily Challenge results, Survival streaks, saved games, stats and settings) is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It isn't sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
If you create an account
- Your email address and password. Used to sign you in, confirm your address and reset your password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider (Supabase) and stored only in hashed form; we never see them.
- Your username.
- Your game progress: Daily Challenge results, Survival runs, stats, unfinished games and your tutorial status, so they follow you across devices.
Other players can't see your account details or progress.
Emails
We only send account emails you trigger: confirming your address, password-free sign-in links and password resets. They are sent through Google's Gmail service. We don't send marketing emails.
Cookies, local storage and logs
- The game uses your browser's local storage for your progress, settings and (if you sign in) your sign-in session.
- We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we don't show ads.
- Like most websites, our hosting providers (Vercel for the website, Supabase for accounts) automatically log technical information such as IP addresses and browser type for security and reliability.
Who processes your information
Supabase (accounts and saved progress), Vercel (website hosting) and Google (sending account emails). They process data on our behalf to run the game, and their servers may be outside your country, including in the United States. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account data while your account exists. To delete your account, email dugoutdecisionsgame@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. Deleting it permanently removes your sign-in details, username, saved games, Daily Challenge results, Survival runs, stats and anything else linked to your account from our database. Progress saved in your own browser stays there until you clear its site data, and our providers' short-lived technical logs expire on their own schedules. You can also ask us what we hold about you or to correct it.
Children
Dugout Decisions isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
